Oakville schools are located on one P-12 unified campus. Regular school hours are from 7:55 a.m. (HS/MS) 8:00 a.m. (ES/PS) to 2:45 p.m. Our primary building houses our preschool, elementary building houses grades K-5 and our Middle/High school houses grades 6-12.
The district provides on-site prepared breakfast and lunch services as well as on-site transportation services. Other accommodations include two gymnasiums as well as football, baseball and fastpitch fields, and a K-5 playground area.
Safety is important to us. Our entire campus is secured with chain-link fence and locked gates. There is one main entrance to each building with electronically locked doors that can only be released from within by office staff. Our district also has surveillance equipment both within and without of our buildings and grounds. These extra security measures help secure, and ensure, the safety of our students.
All public schools in Washington fall under one of nine Educational Service Districts, or ESDs.
The Oakville School District is overseen by ESD 113 in Tumwater. Click here to go to ESD 113's webpage to learn more about its support and services to Oakville and other districts in its service area.
