Oakville School District Vision
The Vision of the Oakville School District revolves around 4 main Pillars: 1) Learning and Teaching, 2) Operations, 3) Systems Accountability, and 4) Student Opportunities that result in positive outcomes of our system for our students. We want to create a Personalized Experience for each student that does the following:
1) We want high Standards in our Learning and Teaching and our Operations for our students. We have high expectations of what we want for each student and staff member.
2) We want to create Accountable Systems that allow students to choose their pathway through our system and are prepared for post-secondary opportunities.
3). We want Opportunities for students to explore their desires and aspirations for their futures.
4) Ultimately we want ALL of our graduates to be ready to contribute to our community by being ready to be Employed for a job or career aspiration, Enlisted in one of our Armed Forces, or Enrolled in a college or trade school. We call this the 3 Es.
Oakville School District Mission Statement
The mission of the Oakville School District is to provide a personalized, equitable education in a safe environment that will develop students into lifelong learners by focusing on growth, building strong character, and creating positive and productive citizens.
Oakville School District Strategic Plan
The Oakville School District Strategic plan was developed from feedback gained from community members, parents/guardians, students, and staff. The work of our team revolves around 4 'Pillars': Student Opportunities, Learning and Teaching, Systems Accountability, and Operations (non-academic). As the Plan was updated for its most recent 2023-28 iteration, the feedback indicated that we wanted to make sure 3 major areas are addressed in each of our 4 Pillars: Physical Safety, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Social Emotional Learning. As a result we developed these value statements that will guide the work of our Strategic plan, demonstrated below:
