We would love for you to meet our wonderful board members!
Ms. Jessica George Director #1
Hi, my name is Jessica. I moved back to Oakville about 2 years ago with my daughter who is now in First Grade. We’ve loved making friends in Oakville while playing with our puppy, working on house projects, and hanging out with family. I’m excited to get to work with a great team as the momentum the school has built continues to grow!
Ms. Katie Bushnell Director #2 Chair
As lifelong members of the community, my husband and I both come from a long line of Oakville alumni and are the proud parents of two current Acorn students.
I've made my career in the field of Law and Justice, serving as a Superior Court Business and Financial Analyst for the Washington State Judicial Branch.
In our spare time, our family enjoys camping, hunting, hiking, and just being outdoors with our dogs!
I joined the board with an interest in creating new, lasting connections with stakeholders in order to increase student opportunities throughout the community, along with my interest in improving and maintaining the fiscal health of the district in a manner that honors and protects the best interests of our community as a whole.
I consider my role as a servant to this community to be one of my greatest accomplishments and I'm so proud to be a part of the great work being done for our kids every day here at Oakville School District!
Ms. Elizabeth Brockman Director #3
My name is Elizabeth Brockman, my family has been in the Oakville community for the last twelve years and my extended family for the last 30 years. I feel lucky to be part of such a great community and for the opportunity to give back to this community by serving on the School Board. I feel serving our community, parents and especially our students to be the number one way to have a strong school. I have been involved in Education in a variety of ways over the past 30 plus years, from volunteering and teaching in a private school, to homeschooling, advocacy, etc. I am honored to be able to serve this school, the students, the parents and the community and look forward to making positive contributions to the Oakville School District.
Ms. Chrisma Juarez Director #4
My name is Chrisma Juarez and my family has been in the Oakville community throughout my entire life, but my family moved back in 2018. Two of my three children attend the district. Never a dull Saturday as our children are children in dance and one of them is usually in a sport, currently soccer. I have my Masters in Business Administration and work for Washington State Department of Revenue as a Senior Excise Tax Examiner.
As a 2011 OHS graduate myself, I felt grateful to be given the opportunity to serve as a board member. Education is a value I hold near to my heart. Serving on the board is a way for me to give back to my community and stay true to my values. Oakville School District is growing and improving in an amazing way, new elementary/ construction, history college credits being offered in the high school, just to name a few ways. Being apart of this growth brings me joy and excitement for our students. I am honored to serve them as they are our future.
Ms. Sabra Noyes Director #5
I grew up in a small farming community in Skagit County and so it was very special to find myself in Oakville when I retired. Initially my career path was quite checkered, though often education related. My final 25 workforce years were in civil service for the Navy at Bangor, Silverdale.
Since coming to Oakville in 2010, I have been active in several volunteer organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Library. I enjoy being outdoors, working on habitat restoration projects on my farm and other places.
Education has always been central to my life - as a student and an instructor, in research and advocacy. It is an honor and privilege to now be on the board.
