4th Grade- Ms. Emily Von Flotow

Hi! My name is Ms. Emily von Flotow. I am so excited to begin teaching at Oakville this year. I grew up west of Chehalis, and have lived in the area most of my life.

For the past 8 years I was a paraprofessional at Adna Elementary. In this role, I had the opportunity to teach Art to many of the students there. I love helping students express their creativity through the visual arts. Two years ago, I began the Bachelors of Science Teacher’s Education program at Centralia College, and graduated with my teaching certificate in June of this year.

Outside of my work in Education, I create murals and other paintings, sew, garden, spend time with my kids, and hike with my husband and husky/malamute puppy.
